April is Blossom Time in the North Fork Valley.  Yes, you’ll see spring bulbs in bloom – crocus, hyacinth, tulip, and daffodils.  Those at the Bross Hotel are beautiful, but the blossoms most visitors come to see are the blossoms in the many orchards surrounding Paonia.  Since a great variety of fruit trees are grown in the valley, blossom time extends for about a month to six weeks — from the early blooming of the apricot trees to the pear and apple trees.  In between there are cherry, peach, plum and nectarine blossoms.  Orchard Valley Farms predicts the following dates will be good for viewing:  apricots – 2nd week of April; cherries – 3rd week of April.  Make your reservations now for this beautiful spring display of blossoms – 970-527-6776.
